Ani Yeshe Wangmo

Since 1999 Visited Burma and India multiple times to learn ancient wisdom and meditation
Since 2004 Became student of the Very Venerable 7th Yongey Mingyur Rinphoche
2006 Founded Tergar Meditation Center Penang
2007 Appointed by her guru as meditation and Dhamma teaching instructor
Ani Yeshe is a graduate from University of Sains, Malaysia, Penang. She first encounter with Buddha's teachings (Dharma) during her 3rd year of study when she was joining a retreat on Heart Sutra led by Ven. Chi Chern.
In order to learn to practice meditation, on year 1999, she went to Burma (Myanmar). In Burma, she practiced meditation under the guidance of Ven. Pak Auk Sayadaw and later became a nun under him. She left Burma in 2001 with the motivation to learn Mahayana practice.
In 2002, she went to Singapore and meet Ven. Khenpo Tsultrim Rinpoche who under the instruction of 16th Karmapa has taught Dharma extensively in the west for more than 30 years. She received Mahamudra Teaching from him.
In 2004, under Khenpo Rinpoche’s instruction she went to Sherab Ling in India to meet The Very Venerable 7th Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche. She received teaching directly from him and also completed a short retreat under his guidance. Since then, she became nun and student of Mingyur Rinpoche and under his instruction she received Bhikkuni ordination in 2004.
In 2006, she founded the 1st Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche’s centre in Malaysia, the Yongey Wheel of Wisdom in Bukit Mertajam. The centre renamed Tergar Meditation Centre Penang in 2009.
Currently, she is still learning, receive teachings and practice under the guidance of Mingyur Rinpoche and lineage’s guru and at the same time, under the instruction of Mingyur Rinpoche’s instruction, she started to give teachings on meditation to the public. As the Buddha said ‘The best gift is the Giving of Dhamma’.
